Dr. David Pintado was born and raised in the State of Baja California Mexico. He attended Medical School at the University of Baja California graduating as a General Practice Physician 30 years ago. He is retired now as a practitioner. Dr Pintado also holds a Master's Degree in Health Administration from La Salle University in Mexico City 1992.
Parallel to his medical schooling years, he developed a passion for Karate and he obtained a black belt in Tang Soo Do, an ancient Korean Martial Art. While a resident of his specialty in Family Practice, he opened two schools and taught this skill for many years under the supervision of his sabonim, Chuck Norris.
Dr. Pintado’s academic experience started as a medical student teaching First Aid, CPR, Hygiene and Safety to construction workers. Occupational Health then became his favorite medical practice. He served as an Emergency Lead Physician during the construction of international mega projects such Gas Refineries and Hospitals.
Later in life he taught different health science courses in two Nursing Schools within the Public Health Masters Program.
Fifteen years ago he moved to Northern California with his wife Katie and two children, and currently he serves as an Advisor of the California State Career Technical Education (CTE) Board in Health Science and Medical Technology.
He has been a Medical Assistant Instructor for many years and currently is the new Chair of the Marketing Committee of the American Association of Medical Assistants in California. He is proud to contribute to the public and medical society as Certified CPR and First Aid Instructor with his own training business, East Bay CPR , a District Business Partner with MBTA and takes students as paid interns.
He also teaches Health Science and Medical Technology at a Mount Diablo High School in Concord and Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill.
He is a USTA High School Tennis Coach and currently represents in the Bay Area to the largest organizations of Future Health Professionals, HOSA Health Occupations Students of America. He currently collaborates with CENGAGE Learning and Delmar reviewing the new editions of medical textbooks.
